Any work carried out by Seymour Sign & Print Ltd, is on the understanding that the client has agreed to Seymour Sign & Print Ltds terms and conditions. These terms and conditions relate specifically to design & artwork services rendered to the client by Seymour Sign & Print Ltd, and are an extension to their standard terms and conditions.
Where Seymour Sign & Print Ltd offer a “free design” service, and no cost has been provided for the completed project, a minimum non refundable deposit of £30+VAT is payable, in advance of design process commencing. Any deposit paid will be deducted from the final balance on completion of the project.
Where a project cost has been agreed including any design charges, a minimum, non refundable deposit of £30+VAT is payable, in advance of the design process commencing.
Conceptual design work
It is Seymour Sign & Print Ltd’s policy to charge for conceptual design work undertaken for evaluation. All design work is charged at our agreed hourly rates. Any material costs will be agreed with the client before any purchase is made.
Client Supplied Files
Images which are supplied in an electronic format are to be provided in a format as prescribed by Seymour Sign & Print Ltd, via e-mail / FTP. Images must be of a quality suitable for use without any subsequent image processing.
Seymour Sign & Print Ltd will not be held responsible for any image quality which the client later deems to be unacceptable. Seymour Sign & Print cannot be held responsible for the quality of any images which the client wishes to be scanned from printed materials.
Additional expenses may be incurred for any necessary action, including, but not limited to, photography and art direction, photography searches, media conversion, digital image processing, or data entry services, colour correction and alteration of images.
The customer agrees to fully indemnify and hold Seymour Sign & Print Ltd free from harm in any and all claims resulting from the customer in not having obtained all the required copyright, and/or any other necessary permissions, for any material provided for inclusion in the design.
Ownership of the copyright in respect of any commission and on any completed and approved design concept is transferred to the client at the time of final full payment. Seymour Sign & Print Ltd, retain the right to use reproductions of the designs on its website and promotional materials unless a NDA was signed before the commencement of the design commission.
Where a choice of designs is provided, only one solution is deemed to be given by Seymour Sign & Print Ltd as fulfilling the contract. All other designs remain the property of Seymour Sign & Print Ltd, unless agreed in writing.
Finished Artwork Files
Charges for design work do not cover the release of copyright design files including ai ,indd, psd, png, fla, eps or any other source files; if the Client requires these files, they will be subject to a separate quotation or ‘buy-out’ charge.
